Bruno Mars

I have never really been that big of a fan of Bruno Mars. Maybe some people are really familiar with his songs "Grenade" and "It Will Rain". I don't like a lot of his songs because they all seem really repetitive and depressing to me. But the other day i was watching the Victoria Secret fashion show, and Bruno was one of the artists who was performing there. He performed a song that i had never heard from him before, and when he was done i was thinking to myself "wow i actually kind of like that song." After a few days passed though, i completely forgot about it until i heard the song on the radio. It made me realize that i did actually really like this song and i should probably download it into my music. The song is called "Locked Out of Heaven." This song has a really good beat and i think that it would be a good song for anyone to check out.

                                              Locked Out of Heaven

Jimi Hendrix

After finishing the movie of Woodstock, of course the one and only Jimi Hendrix stood out among the rest that performed in the festival. Watching him play was just mind blowing because he was so freaking awesome and would do things that i didn't even know were possible. For example, he would play the guitar with only one hand! Although i really enjoyed listening to Jimi, he had a guitar solo that seems to last for an hour. After a while, his solo got somewhat annoying and the sound coming from his guitar just really hurt my head. Jimi also had a really interesting style not only in clothes, but in personality as well.

The picture above is what Jimi was wearing to Woodstock when he performed. I just think that his shirt is really cool, he's rockin' the head band, and the blue pants are the finishing touch on everything. His personality is just as great as his style. He said maybe one sentence when he got on stage, and then just shredded the guitar after that. He  doesn't even have to say anything it seems, and people minds would be blown to how awesome he is.

Ellie Goulding

I absolutely love Ellie Goulding. Not only do i love her music, but i really like her style. She is really unique as you can tell, and just awesome. Her music is somewhat techno and rock. Her voice is just beautiful and she always has really good rhythm and beats to back it up. Some of my favorite songs by her is the very well known and popular song "Lights".Her music videos are usually really cool and interesting, so i think that people should definitely check those out.

                                          "Lights"

Below i will put some different style of looks for Ellie:

She rocks a lot of different styles which i really like about her.

Woodstock

After watching half of the documentary for the festival Woodstock, i must say that it is the craziest thing i have ever seen! I personally have never been to a festival or even ACL but i really want to. The enviorment at Woodstock seemed so chill and no one judged anyone there for being "freaks". My favorite band that we have watched so far had to be "The Who". I have always really liked their music, but i also loved their clothes and style on stage. I also thought that it was really interesting when it started raining at the festival, and the guy on stage just told everyone to yell for the rain to go away, and it made it seem like it was such a fun place to be. I could tell that everyone at that festival was really having a good time and loved the music they were listening to because even though it got really muddy and gross from all the rain, everyone stayed there and kept having a great time. There hasn't been a band that performed that i don't like, so i am really enjoying watching this so far.

Dixie Chicks

Lately i have been listening to the "Dixie Chicks", and it reminded me of just how good i think they are. They are one of the best female bands to ever happen in the history of music in my opinion. Their voices mix very well together, and all of these women can play a certain type of instrument which is really cool. Some of my favorite songs by them is "Travelin' Solider", "Not Ready to Make Nice", and "Cowboy Take Me Away". I will put all of these videos below in this order tool. But i think everyone should definitely check out this bands music videos because they are usually really cool and interesting! A lot of their songs i feel like many people can relate to because they have a lot of songs about love and hurt.

                                                   "Travelin' Soldier"

                                                "Not Ready to Make Nice"
                                                    "Cowboy Take Me Away"

The Band and Johnny Cash

After listening to "The Band" in class, i have to say that i do like them. I think that their vocals are really good and they also carry a really good beat.

                                            "Up On Cripple Creek"

I have always and will always be a huge Johnny Cash fan! I love the movie about Johnny cash too and it happens to be one of my favorite movies. Of course i love the legendary songs "I Walk the Line" and "Ring of Fire". I really like Johnny because his voice is so low and sounds really cool. It is really interesting at how Johnny's wife, June, passed away and how his career developed on after that. To me, after she was gone, Johnny really had nothing else to push him further in his career and future.

Tom Petty

                                                             Tom Petty

I was watching a movie called "Chasing Liberty", and this song came on called "American Girl" and i really liked it. I went and looked it up, and found out that it was performed by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. It was really interesting to me because my dad has always listened to Tom Petty, but i had never really paid much attention to him. Lately though i've been checking out and listening to a lot of his music and i really like him. I think that his voice is really smooth and it's a good rock and roll band to listen to. A few other songs that i came across that i liked were "The Waiting" and "You're Gonna Get It". I still have to say that "American Girl" is the best though and i think that everyone should check it out.

Hunter Hayes and Carrie Underwood

Hunter Hayes is a new country singer that has recently came up in the country world. He is known for his really beautiful song "Wanted". He is a young, attractive, and talented singer that i think a lot of girls would love to hear! His voice sounds very natural and flows with his music very well. All of his songs are really emotional and mushy, so i think that many girls can relate to a lot of his songs.

"Wanted"

Carrie Underwood got her fame from American Idol. I don't really listen to much of her, so i don't have much of an opinion on her. I have watched her on TV, with like CMT awards, and i have to admit that she is a very nice live singer. The reason that i wanted to talk about her and Hunter Hayes in this  blog is because i am trying to go to their concert at the Cedar Park Center in April! I absolutely love Hunter Hayes so I'm begging my parents to get me tickets and let me go. It's going to be one freaking awesome concert, and i think anyone who likes country should totally try and go! If you haven't ever listened to or heard Hunter Hayes songs, go check out "Wanted", "I Cry With you", "Paradise", and "Some body's Heartbreak". They are all fantastic songs.

The White Album

"The White Album" of The Beatles was the ninth album the band had produced. I had no idea that at the time this album was made, Ringo had quit the band which then forced Paul MaCartney to play the drums a little bit on the album. This had to be the longest album that i had ever listened to because it was total of 93 minutes and 35 seconds long. I have to say that i did really like this album because it had a cool electric feel to it which i really enjoyed. It was kind of strange but i did feel like the album was long, but now a whole hour and half long. I thought that the album made it seem like time was passing by fast.

I really enjoyed the very famous song known as "Birthday" by The Beatles. I think that many people would enjoy this album so everyone should totally check it out!

                                                           Lil Wayne

I am not into rap at all, but all of my friends seem to be. Of course i have heard of Lil Wayne many times, and i have never liked any of his songs. I always think that they are really obnoxious and annoying. One day i was driving around with my friend in her car, and this song "Blunt Blowin" came on by him. By the title alone i knew what this song was going to be about and i thought i was going to hate it. Surprisingly though, when it started playing i kind of liked the beat. Once i heard the lyrics, i thought that they were so ridiculous and funny that i actually liked the song! Now my friend and i always rap this song together and it's awesome. I really enjoy listening to this song because i just wonder where on earth people get lyrics like this from. I still hate Lil Wayne but this song for some reason entertains me.

Broken Bridges is a movie starring the country singer Toby Keith, and the actress Lindsey Haun plays his daughter in the movie.

                                                    Lindsey Haun

The reason i wanted to talk about this movie is because it has two songs in it that are just amazing! The first one is a duet with Toby Keith and Lindsey called "Broken Bridges". It's a really simple song with a really nice guitar melody in it. The lyrics of this song are very sweet and emotional too. I don't want to say what the movie is about because you should go watch it for yourself, but the movie is pretty emotional. It is probably considered a chick flick, but Willie Nelson appears in it too so maybe that would make someone want to go watch it more.

                                                  "Broken Bridges"

The other song in this movie that is just amazing is by Lindsey Haun called "Broken". I love this song because it talks about through the hardest times someone is going through, there is always something good that comes out of it. Even if it's just becoming a stronger person out of a situation. It is a very inspiring song and i think it is one of the most beautiful lyrical songs i have ever heard, and i don't think that enough people know about this song yet alone the movie. I recommend everyone to check out this song and the movie! Hope you enjoy!

A really good female singer that i like to listen to is Michelle Branch. She comes off really tough and somewhat punkish in her style (clothing, etc.) and music. I really like her because she is a great guitarist and songwriter. Her genre is mostly pop rock. She hasn't really done anything music wise since about 2005. I've read that she has appeared in some commercials and done some acting, but i personally haven't seen her on TV or anything like that. One of my favorite songs by Michelle is called "All You Wanted". It's a really good song to jam to if your having a bad day or something like that. I feel like i can relate to a lot of her songs because they are usually all about love and drama, which is mainly what teenagers are. Also, i think you should check out her music videos they are usually pretty interesting and entertaining.

                                                  "All You Wanted"

I have her album Hotel Paper and i would have to say that it is a decent album. To me, it's either that i love her songs or i just hate them. That being said, she does have many songs that i love so i do think that she is a successful song writer and music artist. This album was released in 2003, and i still enjoy to listen to it today. There are two songs on her album that stand out to me, and they are "Breathe" and "Where Are You Now". They are both upbeat pop rock songs that i like to jam to in my car at anytime. Check her out!

Everyone has heard of the Eagles before! Well my dad and I have always absolutely loved them. I remember always listening to them growing up, and i still do now. I have a CD burned that has all of my favorite "old school" songs on it, and my number one song is "Love Will Keep Us Alive" by the Eagles. It's a very beautiful song. It has the amazing legendary vocals, and a great melody to back it up. This song was one of the bands best hits of all time. It was performed for the first time in 1994, which if you think about it, it's not that long ago.

Another really good song by The Eagles to check out is "Desperado". I think that it is still today one of the favorites done by them among all Eagles fans. This song was released in 1973. The vocals in this song are absolutely breath taking and the piano is beautiful. My mom always plays it around my house because she knows that i love this song.

One of my all time favorite childhood songs is "Dreams" by Van Halen. This song was in this Power Rangers movie my brother and I loved when we were kids. My brother is now 21, yet every time we hear this song today we remember that exact movie and it brings back the best memories. This song makes me get really pumped up and excited. The electric guitar in this song is awesome too, plus i love the vocals because it sounds kind of rough but not forced. My favorite part of the song is the guitar solo, which is at about 2:42 in the video i put below.

                                                       Eddie Van Halen

                                                        Eddie Van Halen

There is also the legendary song "Jump" by the band Van Halen. I had always thought the guitarist, Eddie Van Halen, wrote all the songs for the band but it was actually the drummer. Not to mention that the drummer is Eddie's brother Alex Van Halen! Anyway, check out this band they are awesome!

A lot of people don't know that i am actually half Hispanic. My dad is Hispanic while my mom is white. My dad has 7 siblings, so you could say that my dad's side of the family is really big. We are the typically Hispanic family, really big, loud, fun and crazy. Our family loves to throw parties all the time, and at every party there is always Tejano music blasting. I don't completely know Spanish, but i know enough to understand usually what the Tejano song being played is about. I absolutely love to dance to all kinds of Tejano music with my brother, dad, uncles or anyone from my family. To me, this type of genre of music has a really good beat and rhythm, so it is really fun to dance to. One of my favorite bands my dad showed me is Hometown Boys.

Like i said, i don't completely understand everything that is being said in their songs, but i love the melody as well as the vocals. My dad use to play in a band with a few of my uncles, and Hometown Boys just remindes me of that. It's a really cool band and i know that a lot of kids don't listen to this kind of music, but i would really suggest checking them out. Here's a song called "El Pintor" by them that i really enjoy:

Since Halloween had just passed recently, of course i had been hearing Michael Jackson's hit song "Thriller" all the time. I thought that it would be really good to talk about one of the greatest musicians to ever live. I love Michael's music, but i do think that he is kind of a creep, and i feel like most people would agree. I enjoy listening to Michael's really old music with the Jackson Five too. One of my favorite songs from them is "I Want You Back". I mean who doesn't love that song? Every time i hear it, i just want to stand up and dance! The back ground vocals are great, and of course little Michael's voice. I put the song below:

My all time favorite song by Michael Jackson is "Beat It". When i was little, i would always listen to it before i had a soccer or basketball game so it would pump me up. It has the sickest electric guitar solo i have ever heard. In the video i put below, it's at about 2:38.

Country

I absolutely love country music! I don't know who my number one favorite singer is, but if i had to choose a top 5, Brad Paisley would for sure be one of them. He's also married to one of my favorite actresses Kimberly Williams Paisley. Anyway, Brad has the typical "country" voice. It's very strong and flows with all of his songs, and not to mention that he is also an amazing LIVE singer too. A wonderful song by Brad is "She's Everything". Not only is the melody beautiful, but also the lyrics jerk at your heart. One of my favorite lines in the song is:

She's the voice I love to hear
Someday when I'm ninety
She's that wooden rocking chair
I want rocking right beside me
Everyday that passes
I only love her more
Yeah, she's the one
That I'd lay down my own life for

  "She's Everything"

My dad always says that country is way to mushy and emotional, but that's the exact reason why i love it! Brad's lyrics in this song just create this loving picture in my head of a 90 year old couple, hanging out in the country somewhere, and just sitting there looking at the sunset. I realize that it sounds really cheesy to some people, but i think that they need to just lighten up. Some other songs that are really great by Brad are "When I Get Where I'm Going" , "I'm Still a Guy", "Alcohol", "We Danced", "Little Moments", and so many other songs. Also, he has many good duet songs. A couple examples of some are "Remind Me" with Carrie Underwood which is a pretty recent released song, and "Whiskey Lullaby" with Alison Krauss".

Pink Floyd

After listening to Pink Floyd, i have to say that i don't really know what to think of them. They incorporated a lot of different sounds in their music, like bells or horns, and after a while of hearing that, i just got really annoyed. I especially remember listening to the song "Flaming" by Pink Floyd. It caught my eye because as i was reading the lyrics, i saw that they mentioned something about sitting on unicorns and i would have never expected that based off of its title. From the very start of the song there are weird noises like wind, howling, and whistles. I think that their songs are just really random and weird. I don't like the vocals either because to me it just sounds like some dude is just talking into a microphone along with weird noises. All that being said, I do think that this band is very unique for the time they came along and not many people back then had heard anything like them.

The Beatles

After listening to The Beatles in class, a song that stuck out to me for some reason was "Yellow Submarine". It's the weirdest song i have ever heard, but for some reason it really makes me laugh and i love singing along. I think Paul McCartney had to be on some major drugs when he wrote this song though because it is just so random to me.

To talk about The Beatles seventh album Revolver, i guess i could say that i thought it was alright. I liked their previous albums we listened to a lot more than i did this one. I see that this album was a big accomplishment and break through to what the ability of a studio can do, but i feel like there was too much going on with the instrumentals. Honestly, i think that i could have just listen to The Beatles sing in their harmony without any music, and i would still absolutely love them. I still like this album and i would be interesting in burning it sometime. Just as an ending statement, i think their previous albums were better.

Flo Rida

All of my blogs to this point have really been about songs and bands that i really like, so i though i would make one on a song or band that i just cannot freaking stand. So being said, i would have to say that one of the artists that i can just not bare to listen to for 10 seconds is Flo Rida. Honestly his name just pisses me off, and i think that his music just completely sucks. To me every time i hear or listen to one of his songs, i think that he is just saying the same thing over and over again a hundred times. His voice sounds like he is just talking into a microphone with some type of affect on it. All this being said, the song that i hate the most by Flo Rida is his stupid song "Whistle". That song is the most derogatory song i have ever heard in my entire life, but i feel like i don't have a lot of authority to say that because i don't listen to rap all that much. All that song is talking about is oral sex. I completely realize that this is not even close to the first song talking about sex or drugs or anything in that nature, but i really just cannot stand this song. I hate Flo Rida, i hate his songs, and i think he needs to stop making music because his 15 minutes of fame have past. Everyone needs to listen to his song "Whistle" and see how bad it is. Don't waste your time checking out any of his other stuff because it sucks too.

I really like listening to country music. My favorite station is for sure 100.7, and one day when i was driving home i heard this song come on "Angel Eyes". I had no idea who it was by or anything like that, so i went home and then looked up the song and found out it was by a band named Love and Theft. Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson are the two singers in the band, and they both play the guitar.I hadn't heard any of their songs before, but after i had checked them out, i really really like them now. My favorite song by them is "Angel Eyes" and it happens to be a really popular song right now anyways, so it is always on the radio. What is really interesting about this band to me, is that they are a male debut! Their voices blend and go so well together and it is awesome. Other than their really popular song, i think that people should check out their other songs like "Runaway" and "Don't Wake Me". I will post these three songs below, but i totally would recommend anyone who likes country to check them out, and i think that they only have 2 albums released so far. Oh and the music video to "Angel Eyes" is great so go check it out!!!

After listening to Jimi Hendrix in class, i really like him. His talent with an electric guitar is just unreal, plus the fact that he was self taught. I had heard some of his songs before on the radio, and my dad likes him, so it wasn't the first time that i had been exposed to him. It was really cool to learn some interesting facts about him, like that he was left handed. I remember hearing a kid say that he had no idea that Jimi Hendrix was black, and that made me laugh pretty hard. To me, and i feel like many other people would agree, Jimi Hendrick is a legend and one of the greatest musicians to ever live, not to mention an awesome song writer. Jimi did so many things with the electric guitar that no one had ever done before. He was for sure one of the biggest influences of the 20th century.

I absouletly love the introduction to this song Foxy Lady. It just makes me feel like damn this is going to be one sick ass guitar song, and sure enough that is what it is.

The song below is one of Jimi Hendrix's most famous songs Purple Hayes:

Mumford and Sons are freaking awesome. Just look at them. They are beautiful! They are an English folk rock band. If you want to know what folk rock is, the definition is: a musical genre combining elements of folk music and rock music. This genre of music genre arose in the United States and the UK around the mid-1960s. The reason that i want to make sure there is a little back ground to this genre of music is because i don't even listen to a lot of music of this type myself. With that said, i would recommend this band to EVERYONE to listen to. Mumford and Sons are kind of a mainstream band now with there really popular song like "The Cave".

Not only do i love their songs, but also their music video's tend to be so interesting and cool to watch. There very different at times and don't make sense, but thats what is so awesome about them. The music video's tend to be simple with not a lot going on, but to me it's just because i feel like the "less is more" saying is what Mumford and Sons go by. I can't even explain how much i love their songs! The vocals of this band are just fantastic too. It's kind of scratchy and rough. Anyone and everyone should check them out. Plus they have a sick banjo. I will put more of my favorite songs by them below.

This week after listening to The Beatles album Rubber Soul, their songs did sound different and a lot more slow, but i still really enjoyed listening to them. It seemed to me like they had a lot more back ground vocals in their songs, and i always love harmony so it was awesome. I really liked the song "In My Life" from their album. The lyrics in that song caught my attention, especially the part that goes:

With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

To me these lyrics mean that through out one's life, the people that you love and become friends with, no matter if it's from the past or present, they still mean so much and one will always appreciate them through their whole life. Even though this song somewhat has a slow beat and seems kind of down, the lyrics are really positive and happy. I also really like how the song shifts a lot to different beats and melody's through out the song like in the video (below) around the 29 second part and so on through the song. My favorite part is the end of the song where the piano sounds legit (about 1:30 mark in the video below). It's really interesting how producers experimented back then with studio's to make new sounds, even though today speeding up the sound to a piano seems like nothing. I loved this album and i definitely want to come burn it to a CD sometime so i can have it for myself!

T-SWIFT

I know that Taylor Swift is under country music in itunes, but no one considers her music to be actually country. Surprisingly, all of her new songs on her up coming album, that is coming out on October 17, takes the number one a two spot of the current top songs. I personally think that Swift is more pop, but i absolutely love her. I feel as if i can relate to a lot of her songs, and i find all of them really catchy. Also, i really love that she writes all of her music. I feel bad for all of the guys she has dated, because she seems to write really bad songs about them dumping her. I love Taylor Swift, and i hope one day i can go to one of her concerts. I recommend everyone to go check out her new album coming out soon!!

ACL

After being in class today (Friday) and seeing that no one was there due to ACL, i feel like i should talk about it. We watched some of the bands performing live, and i must say that i really was not crazy about any of them. I just do not see how someone would want to ever spend 200 dollars plus to see these bands. I specifically remember one of the bands named War on Drugs. To me, this band had somewhat of an old school feel and i liked that. I enjoyed listening to the melody and beat of this band, and as well as the lyrics. There was one song where i was like wow this dude can't sing, but then after listening to some other horrible vocalist i felt like War on Drugs wasn't that bad. I don't really know that much about this band, and i don't know the name of the lead vocal singer, but i really did like his voice because it was somewhat scratchy and i like that. I am very curious to how ACL will turn out next year since it's going to be over a 2 weekend period.

White Panda

I'm not a huge fan of remixing songs or anything of that sort, but i was with my friend the other day, and they showed me this really cool group called White Panda. What they do is take songs and will mix them together. For example, they will take a beast and melody of another song, then put different song lyrics with it. Honestly after listening to a lot of their songs, the songs that White Panda creates are either really good or just terrible. If you have a Spotify account, that is a great way to check these guys out. My favorite song so far that they have created is called Midnight Life. I think it's one of the best remix's i have ever heard. I will put the song below:

Help

I really liked the movie Help by The Beatles. I feel as if it is very rare to see a movie done by an entire band. The movie seemed to be a little cheesy at times, but overall i did get a good laugh from it. I enjoyed all of the music in the movie, and i like how there were a lot of different settings within the movie. At some point The Beatles would be wondering along the shore of a beach, then the next thing you know, they are skiing in the mountains. I must say that I really did not like Ringo's hair. It bugged me through out the whole movie. I thought that it was too long, and it looked like he was just wearing a bowl over his head. Finally, the way some of the booby traps were designed to catch Ringo, so that the bad guys could get the famous ring back, were very creative. My personal favorite was when all The Beatles were at the bar, and Ringo fell through the floor into a room with a huge tiger. That made me laugh so hard because it was just so random but really funny.

Girl Walk // All day

I was just messing around on youtube one day, when i came across a really cool and interesting video. I will put it below:

But it's this girl who just walks around to random places, and dances! The people's reactions is hilarious to me. She has a lot of videos, so anyone can go check more of them out. They remix a lot of songs together, and it really sounds good. They all tend to be pretty modern rap or pop songs. The songs are usually about being a badass and not caring much about what other people think of you. The video i put above it one of my favorite one's the girl does.

The Who

After listening to The Who for a bit, I think that some of their stuff is alright, but they are not my favorite. I can really see how they take some style from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. I like listening to the style of The Beatles more. I really just enjoy bands that contain a really nice, smooth, and natural harmony.

I still can't rap my mind around about how during a performance, The Who's drummer put dynamite inside his drum's and did not tell anyone! The drummer didn't even warn them to move away from the drums when he was  right about to set it off. In the end, the only song i really like by these guys is "My Generation". I really just don't find them very interesting.

U2

I think in class one day you brought up the band U2. U2 is probably one of my dad and my favorite bands of all time!! Gosh I love so many of their songs like "Where The Streets Have No Name" and "With or Without You". Bono, the singer, has a really nice voice that's just so natural and it flows very well. I hadn't really listened to them in a while until i heard their name brought up in class one day. I went home and listened to so many of their songs again with my dad and it was awesome. I have to say that my favorite song by them is "One". I will put the song above:

The Stones Be Tone Deaf

After listening to The Rolling Stones for not even one whole class period, my god i hate them. They are so off pitch, even though i really wouldn't know because I'm not a musician what so ever. Plus i can barely even hear the singers voices over the instrumental, which actually may be a good thing in the end. I think switching from the awesome harmony of The Beatles to whatever the hell this is now, it's just making them seem even worse. It bugs me that only one song off their whole album is an original, and to top it off i don't even like their one original. If I remember correctly, we didn't even finish their whole first album so I'm not looking forward to next class as much. I have never been very interested in The Stones anyways. The only thing I like is the new modern song by Maroon 5 called "Moves Like Jagger". It's a really fun up-beat song that I love to dance to even though I don't like Jagger much. I will put that song below:

State Fair!!

My best friend and I are going to the State Fair on October 7, and we are so excited to see one of our favorite country singers, Uncle Kracker! My friend and I just love to blast his music in our cars and sing along. Some of our favorite songs by him is "Smile" and "Follow Me".

The song below is "Smile":

The song below is "Follow Me":

I can't remember the last time I went to see someone perform, so I am really excited to go see someone I  love as much as I do Uncle Kracker. I just think his songs are so catchy and fun to sing to. He's awesome!

Can't Get enough Beatles

So after watching that awesome documentary on The Beatles, I fell in love with the drummer Ringo. I think that it was really awesome how he performed while singing and drumming at the same time. I have never played in a band or anything like that before, but I can't even imagine how hard that would be. Also, I thought it was hilarious how the whole band would make fun of people, and sometimes no one would even realize it. No matter what these guys did, everyone would fall head over heels for them and that is just awesome to me. I also thought it was really interesting how much technical stuff they would do while on stage. For example, after a few songs people would rush on stage and turn Ringo's entire drum set around, while the other Beatles would rush to the other side to sing. Its really cool how they perform towards the whole audience at points through out their concerts, and I feel like now a days if your behind the performing act your seeing, oh well your out of luck.

VMA's

Alright so i hear a lot of debate about these guys! Personally, I think their songs are catchy but I'm not like a "crazy" fan. But recently, I saw them perform on the VMA's, and I gotta say that I thought their performance was terrible. I would never ever want to go watch them live, not even that I would honestly ever try to. I just think their voices were terrible and I really didn't feel any energy from them.

Now, i can honestly say that i HATE Niki Minaj. She is the most weird person i have ever seen and her voices just annoys the hell out of me. She won the best female music video at the VMA's and i was so pissed because i just don't like her. Plus her speech sucked. I understand that she is trying to be one of the best female rappers to ever live, but i simply just do not like her. The weird voices she makes within her songs just drives me nuts. The picture below is what she wore to the VMA's......she's weird.

Here's a decent remix to her song "Pound the Alarm".....her voice at the beginning where she is just talking, or trying to rap i don't know,  is what just annoys me. If she would just sing more, maybe i could tolerate her more.

The Freaking Beatles

I have always absolutely LOVED the Beatles. My dad has always listened to them, so I became pretty familiar with them growing up. To me, The Beatles have the best blending of voices in their band. I knew that they wrote a lot of their songs, but i didn't know that it was really uncommon for bands back then to actually put them on an album. I guess the producer made one of the best choices of his life to take a chance with The Beatles on "Please Please Me".

^ John Lennon!

I gotta say though, John Lennon is just awesome. He sings the song "Imagine", and even though its obviously very different from the first two albums with The Beatles, its a great slow song. I love his lyrics:

Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
And no religion too

Lennon creates this fantasy world in my head of just how peaceful our world would be without all the conflicts of politics, religion, or crazy ass people running around killing each other.

And I for sure can't forget about the one and only Paul McCartney. He is a legend song writer, as well as John Lennon of course. McCartney and Lennon wrote so many of The Beatles songs, and then some of their own singles. It blows my mind to think of just how many songs those two men have written. Without them we wouldn't have some of the greatest hits in all of music history today. If you watched the Olympics this year, McCartney performed and showed that he could still kick ass and rock and roll. It's crazy to me because when we listened to the first two albums in class, i felt like we listened to them really fast. I'm not sure exactly how long the albums were, but i definitely thought that they would feel like they took a longer time.

So here's a song that I really enjoy by The Beatles called "Come Together" :

And then here is somewhat of a remix of "Come Together". If you notice, this remix isn't really that different from the original version. I don't really like when songs have too much techno or dubstep and just ruin a good original song. I think this remix just adds kinda a modern touch to "Come Together" in a key way. (takes like 30 seconds to get started) :
