Girl Walk // All day

I was just messing around on youtube one day, when i came across a really cool and interesting video. I will put it below:

But it's this girl who just walks around to random places, and dances! The people's reactions is hilarious to me. She has a lot of videos, so anyone can go check more of them out. They remix a lot of songs together, and it really sounds good. They all tend to be pretty modern rap or pop songs. The songs are usually about being a badass and not caring much about what other people think of you. The video i put above it one of my favorite one's the girl does.

The Who

After listening to The Who for a bit, I think that some of their stuff is alright, but they are not my favorite. I can really see how they take some style from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. I like listening to the style of The Beatles more. I really just enjoy bands that contain a really nice, smooth, and natural harmony.

I still can't rap my mind around about how during a performance, The Who's drummer put dynamite inside his drum's and did not tell anyone! The drummer didn't even warn them to move away from the drums when he was  right about to set it off. In the end, the only song i really like by these guys is "My Generation". I really just don't find them very interesting.

U2

I think in class one day you brought up the band U2. U2 is probably one of my dad and my favorite bands of all time!! Gosh I love so many of their songs like "Where The Streets Have No Name" and "With or Without You". Bono, the singer, has a really nice voice that's just so natural and it flows very well. I hadn't really listened to them in a while until i heard their name brought up in class one day. I went home and listened to so many of their songs again with my dad and it was awesome. I have to say that my favorite song by them is "One". I will put the song above:

The Stones Be Tone Deaf

After listening to The Rolling Stones for not even one whole class period, my god i hate them. They are so off pitch, even though i really wouldn't know because I'm not a musician what so ever. Plus i can barely even hear the singers voices over the instrumental, which actually may be a good thing in the end. I think switching from the awesome harmony of The Beatles to whatever the hell this is now, it's just making them seem even worse. It bugs me that only one song off their whole album is an original, and to top it off i don't even like their one original. If I remember correctly, we didn't even finish their whole first album so I'm not looking forward to next class as much. I have never been very interested in The Stones anyways. The only thing I like is the new modern song by Maroon 5 called "Moves Like Jagger". It's a really fun up-beat song that I love to dance to even though I don't like Jagger much. I will put that song below:

State Fair!!

My best friend and I are going to the State Fair on October 7, and we are so excited to see one of our favorite country singers, Uncle Kracker! My friend and I just love to blast his music in our cars and sing along. Some of our favorite songs by him is "Smile" and "Follow Me".

The song below is "Smile":

The song below is "Follow Me":

I can't remember the last time I went to see someone perform, so I am really excited to go see someone I  love as much as I do Uncle Kracker. I just think his songs are so catchy and fun to sing to. He's awesome!

Can't Get enough Beatles

So after watching that awesome documentary on The Beatles, I fell in love with the drummer Ringo. I think that it was really awesome how he performed while singing and drumming at the same time. I have never played in a band or anything like that before, but I can't even imagine how hard that would be. Also, I thought it was hilarious how the whole band would make fun of people, and sometimes no one would even realize it. No matter what these guys did, everyone would fall head over heels for them and that is just awesome to me. I also thought it was really interesting how much technical stuff they would do while on stage. For example, after a few songs people would rush on stage and turn Ringo's entire drum set around, while the other Beatles would rush to the other side to sing. Its really cool how they perform towards the whole audience at points through out their concerts, and I feel like now a days if your behind the performing act your seeing, oh well your out of luck.

VMA's

Alright so i hear a lot of debate about these guys! Personally, I think their songs are catchy but I'm not like a "crazy" fan. But recently, I saw them perform on the VMA's, and I gotta say that I thought their performance was terrible. I would never ever want to go watch them live, not even that I would honestly ever try to. I just think their voices were terrible and I really didn't feel any energy from them.

Now, i can honestly say that i HATE Niki Minaj. She is the most weird person i have ever seen and her voices just annoys the hell out of me. She won the best female music video at the VMA's and i was so pissed because i just don't like her. Plus her speech sucked. I understand that she is trying to be one of the best female rappers to ever live, but i simply just do not like her. The weird voices she makes within her songs just drives me nuts. The picture below is what she wore to the VMA's......she's weird.

Here's a decent remix to her song "Pound the Alarm".....her voice at the beginning where she is just talking, or trying to rap i don't know,  is what just annoys me. If she would just sing more, maybe i could tolerate her more.

The Freaking Beatles

I have always absolutely LOVED the Beatles. My dad has always listened to them, so I became pretty familiar with them growing up. To me, The Beatles have the best blending of voices in their band. I knew that they wrote a lot of their songs, but i didn't know that it was really uncommon for bands back then to actually put them on an album. I guess the producer made one of the best choices of his life to take a chance with The Beatles on "Please Please Me".

^ John Lennon!

I gotta say though, John Lennon is just awesome. He sings the song "Imagine", and even though its obviously very different from the first two albums with The Beatles, its a great slow song. I love his lyrics:

Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
And no religion too

Lennon creates this fantasy world in my head of just how peaceful our world would be without all the conflicts of politics, religion, or crazy ass people running around killing each other.

And I for sure can't forget about the one and only Paul McCartney. He is a legend song writer, as well as John Lennon of course. McCartney and Lennon wrote so many of The Beatles songs, and then some of their own singles. It blows my mind to think of just how many songs those two men have written. Without them we wouldn't have some of the greatest hits in all of music history today. If you watched the Olympics this year, McCartney performed and showed that he could still kick ass and rock and roll. It's crazy to me because when we listened to the first two albums in class, i felt like we listened to them really fast. I'm not sure exactly how long the albums were, but i definitely thought that they would feel like they took a longer time.

So here's a song that I really enjoy by The Beatles called "Come Together" :

And then here is somewhat of a remix of "Come Together". If you notice, this remix isn't really that different from the original version. I don't really like when songs have too much techno or dubstep and just ruin a good original song. I think this remix just adds kinda a modern touch to "Come Together" in a key way. (takes like 30 seconds to get started) :
